2012 Annual Meeting (Joint with ASCE, TSPE, & ACEC)

ASCE has joined with ACEC and TSPE this year to conduct a joint annual meeting. Our hope is to host a bigger, better annual meeting with an opportunity for attendees to bring their families and make a long weekend out of the event. We understand there are ASCE members who may only be able to devote a single day to attend the joint meeting. Therefore, the joint meeting includes a single-day registration option for Thursday, September 13th that will be designed and scheduled very similar to past single-day ASCE annual Section meetings. ASCE members are welcome and encouraged to attend the full meeting in order to maximize continuing education and networking opportunities beyond our organization. We will be requesting feedback from Section members that attend the joint meeting in order to assess the success of the joint meeting and to consider ASCE’s role in future joint meetings with ACEC and TSPE. The combined annual meeting will have five education tracks: Civil / Environmental, Geotechnical, Transportation / Engineering Management, Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial, and Student Session for our collegiate ASCE student chapters – so mark your calendars! For room reservations call the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro by August 22, 2012 at 615-890-4464 or 1-800-Embassy and ask for the “ENG” group rate, which is $129 per night (plus tax, of course!). We have negotiated a discounted hotel room rate and your patronage of this official hotel makes it possible for us to secure the space needed for the event at a greatly reduced cost.
